Tests and Quizzes
TESTS: (the weighting for each marking period is listed at the top of the THIS WEEK page)
1. There will be at least two tests per marking period
2. A test will be given at the conclusion of each unit (approximately every 3-4 weeks). As a class we will review the graded tests
3. There will be a Quarterly exam given at the end of marking period 1 and potentially at the end of marking period 3 and it will be counted twice. There will be a Mid-Term exam given at the end of the 2nd marking period that is weighted district wide.
4. Students will know at least one week in advance of every test (it will be listed on the THIS WEEK page and posted in class)
5. Tests are usually a combination of multiple choice and free response. There are approximately 35 - 40 questions on each test
6. If a student is absent the day of the test they will be expected to take the test the day when he/she returns or, at a more suitable time
7. Math teachers are no longer teamed, it is up to the students to let us know if they have multiple tests and quizzes on a day that we have scheduled a quiz or a test. We try to accommodate as much as possible, but we need to know in advance. YOU ARE YOUR OWN BEST ADVOCATE!!
